Data Engineer
6 months contract to hire
Austin, TX (5 days onsite)
The Data Engineer will be part of a team that designs and develops CLIENT s enterprise Data Warehouse and Analytical systems. Responsibilities
Responsible for building and maintaining scalable and reliable data pipelines to support CLIENT s Business needs.
Building solutions that enable data scientists to perform advanced analytics and machine learning tasks.
Own the system architecture and infrastructure of our Google Could Data warehouse and other related Google Cloud Platform services.
Build and assist BI developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
Qualifications & Attributes
At least 6 years relevant experience
Bachelor s degree in IT, computer science, mathematics, or related fields.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform services, such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer, Pub/Sub, etc.
Expert in writing, analyzing, and tuning complex SQL queries
Extensive experience with Python programming
Familiarity with data quality and governance principles and best practices
Experience with Apigee or Mulesoft for API integration and management is a plus
Good understanding of Object-Oriented programming.
Willing to work with new tools and learn new programming languages
Strong problem-solving ability and a positive attitude.
Experience with agile development methodologies and tools, such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
Hands-on experience with Java, Javascript & Pyspark are a huge plus
Experience with Tableau or other BI tools for data visualization and dashboarding
