AR Specialist, Enhanced RPM

Who are we looking for?

The AR Specialist provides support in the reimbursement process, prepares outstanding accounts reports and gathers credit and/or reference information. This position requires a high level of customer service and communication with both patients and customers.

You may be hired as a AR Specialist, or Sr. AR Specialist based on your depth of skill and breadth of experience.

What will you do?

• Investigate up-front denials through oral and written communication with insurance carriers
• Prepare and submit appeals
• Identify negative trends with payers and work to resolve with key personnel
• Interface with patients and customers to handle inquires, troubleshoot problems, and follow up with calls and/or written communications
• Ensure that documents are complete with accurate patient billing information regarding all services rendered
• Review all processing errors and analyze issues, identify root causes, and escalate as appropriate following escalation workflow
  
  
  

This is an onsite position at our office in Charleston, SC or San Diego, CA office. Consideration will be given to an employees existing location.

What education and experience do you need?

A combination of the following education and experience factors will be considered:

• High School diploma or G.E.D
• 2 years' experience directly related in medical billing, medical claims/billing environment involving negotiation and/or problem resolution
• Ability to read and understand an EOB
• Intermediate knowledge of government program regulations, Medicare, and other third-party payers
• Experience with medical billing software
• Understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding
• Well organized with a strong attention to detail
• Intermediate skill set with Microsoft Office Suite

What does the position pay:

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.

The expected range for this role is $20-22 hourly compensation. Please note this range is an estimate and actual may vary based on qualifications and experience.
