Job Description
Drive a culture of safety and environmental stewardship by leading EHS initiatives, improving processes, mentoring teams, ensuring compliance, managing risks and fostering collaboration to achieve and incident free workplace and operational excellence
Develop, implement and drive accountability for EHS initiatives aligning with corporate policies, improving processes and fostering an incident free workplace
Establish a visible presence to mentor teams, monitor safety practices, oversee EHS staff and develop talent while promoting a culture of safety excellence
Manage incidents, conduct investigations, ensure compliance with audits and regulations and implement strategies to mitigate unsafe conditions and behaviors
Analyze safety and environmental data, track KPIs and report trends to address risks, ensure compliance reduce violations and enhance overall safety and environmental performance
Work with HR, finance and senior management to align training, audits and risk management strategies while maintaining robust communication and strong relationships across departments
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
3-5 years EHS Leadership experience required preferably in a manufacturing environment
Advanced regulatory knowledge of EPA, OSHA and state regulatory requirements as well as industry standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001
Subject matter expertise in all aspects of environmental, health and safety management including compliance risk mitigation and program development
Advanced knowledge and training in behavior based safety programs, lean manufacturing principles, 6S, root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
