ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
As an Account Manager with XLerate Group Auto Auctions you will work to maintain and grow our institutional business. You will partner closely with Institutional Auction Consignors to help them reach their business and sales objectives by utilizing the XLerate Group's auction national footprint. You will focus on establishing new relationships with Financial Institutions, Leasing and Rental Car companies and expand XLerate Groups business volume in each of these segments. As the Account Manager, you will also identify new opportunities, develop relationships with them with the goal to grow our revenue base.
- Responsible for some existing national relationships with Institutional Auction Consignors, Financial Institutions, Rental Car Companies, and other National Account revenue streams.
- Working to build upon existing relationships to maintain those strong institutional relationships.
- Work with the SVP to execute plan for maintaining and growing our current business and following up on new leads.
- Work with the SVP to define the strategy for the companies National Accounts.
- Collaborate with the broader company to build upon the National Account plan.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with Auction General Managers understanding the Auction needs.
- Work closely with the SVP to administer sales programs to achieve business goals. Work with SVP to develop and distribute marketing materials.
- Deliver the highest level of customer service and exhibit ‘hands on’ and direct approach with customers.
- Accurately account for your daily activity via Salesforce.com.
- Ability to work with leadership as well as work independently. Ability to initiate and develop relationships to expand our reputation and footprint.
- Be knowledgeable of the operations of an auto auction.
- BA/BS degree in marketing/sales/business highly desired
- 3 years of sales and customer service experience preferably in automotive
- Previous experience working with National Accounts preferred
- 2 years of new business development experience
- Ability to build relationships and connect with people.
- Ability to communicate well both verbal and written and ability to communicate effectively to all levels and to be able to deliver a polished message
- Industry knowledge and understanding of current industry trends
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proven previous experience in relationship based sales
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel on a regular basis
