Position: Logistics Associate
- Location: Lewisville, TX
- Pay: $18.50/HR
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 9 AM-Finish
Position Overview
- Analyze and improve the supply chain's efficiency.
- Examine historical shipping data to identify patterns and bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with transportation teams to evaluate route effectiveness.
- Propose alternate routes or modes of transportation to reduce transit times and costs.
Position Description
- Assist the Senior Logistic Coordinator in managing quality, costs, and efficiency in logistics.
- Analyze large supply chain and logistics data sets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Evaluate transportation routes and modes to find the most efficient and cost-effective options.
- Identify inefficiencies in logistics processes and propose solutions to streamline operations.
- Handle maintenance and repair vendor's procurement and work execution process.
- Book and coordinate all import & export shipments with operation teams.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses of different logistics strategies.
- Evaluate the performance of partners and vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance.
- Follow up on liability policies with suppliers regarding maintenance.
- Analyze peak demand periods and plan logistics resources accordingly.
- Serve as the point of contact for any center visitors, including corporate employee visits.
- Ensure the correct creation of all documentation for U.S. Logistics policies and procedures.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Must have one or more years of distribution or warehouse experience with proven results in operation efficiency.
- Must have good judgment and creativity.
- Conceptual development skills.
- Ability to read and extract pertinent data from analyses and relate it to business trends and behavior (historical & future).
- Multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills in both English & Spanish (written & verbal).
