Position Overview: As Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of production machinery, equipment, and facility systems. Skills in mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting abilities, and a proactive maintenance approach are critical in minimizing downtime, optimizing equipment performance, and supporting a smooth manufacturing operation.
Pay: $18-$25/HRSchedule: 6AM-4:30PM Wednesday-Saturday
Position Duties:• Conduct preventive maintenance activities on production machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize unplanned downtime.• Perform troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components.• Inspect, clean, lubricate, and adjust machinery and equipment to maintain operational efficiency and extend lifespan.• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, analyze root causes, and implement appropriate corrective actions to minimize production disruptions.• Perform scheduled equipment changeovers, setups, and adjustments to meet production requirements.• Source and procure necessary parts, tools, and equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing input on equipment modifications, process enhancements, and efficiency improvements.• Train and assist production personnel in the safe operation and basic maintenance of machinery and equipment.• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and external vendors regarding equipment performance, maintenance needs, and potential issues.
Position Requirements:• Must have HVAC experience• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.• Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or pharmaceutical industry.• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, industrial controls, and instrumentation knowledge.• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various manufacturing equipment, including mixers, conveyors, packaging machines, and facility systems.• Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to maintenance emergencies outside regular working hours.• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform tasks requiring
