Job Title: Solder Fine Pitch Technician

Position Description:

The Solder Fine Pitch Technician is responsible for performing precision hand soldering of fine pitch cables and flexible circuits while working under a microscope. This role requires attention to detail, steady hands, and adherence to quality standards to ensure the integrity of soldered components.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Shift options: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed hand soldering of fine pitch components using a microscope.
• Assemble and solder cables, flexible circuits, and other intricate assemblies following detailed work instructions.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards.
• Identify and resolve soldering defects such as bridging, cold solder joints, or insufficient solder.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
• Document work performed and ensure proper traceability of materials and components.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with fine pitch hand soldering, preferably in a manufacturing or electronics environment.
• Ability to work with small components under a microscope for extended periods.
• Proficiency in using soldering tools and equipment, including fine-tipped soldering irons.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 soldering standards (certification is a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working with a microscope.
• Steady hand coordination for soldering fine pitch components.
• Good vision or corrective lenses to see small components clearly.
