What are the responsibilities and job description for the Order Picker position at XL Pro Staffing and Consulting?
Position Overview : Under direct supervision of the distribution Supervisor, performs the picking and packing functions of the order-filling line following established proceduresPosition Description : - Picking, pulling, and scanning (for defects) products based on information taken from shipping documents and systems- Packs orders in a manner that effectively prevents damage- Maintains volume and accuracy standards established by the department- Follows company safety rules- Must be available to work occasional Saturdays and overtime during the weekdays as needed with minimum notice- Must maintain a 99.7% order accuracy rate- Assists in other areas of shipping such as work orders and kit assemblies as neededPosition Requirements : - Must be able to work quickly in a somewhat narrow and populated space.- Must demonstrate the ability to meet minimum volume- Must be able to stand, stoop, reach for long periods, and lift up to 30 lbs.- Hours of Operation can vary from as early as 6 am to as late as 7 pm, with no more than 12 hours worked in a day. Proper meal and rest periods will be given accordingly.- Some overtime may be required with minimal notice on days with heavy order volume. One Saturday near the end of the month may be -required depending upon order volume.- The warehouse is climate-controlled
