Soccer Coach

XL Sports World is looking for enthusiastic soccer fans, players, referees and coaches to join our team. We rely on our amazing soccer staff to provide a fun and safe environment for the soccer community to compete in our coed indoor soccer leagues! The soccer staff enjoys flexible schedules, free adult league participation and a free meal for 6 hour shifts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide feedback and communication to the Soccer Director about the program.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of league initiatives.
• Maintains strong, positive relationships and strong communication with staff, players and parents.
• Display confidence when interacting with parents, coaches, and players and directly address poor sportsmanship, negative competition, and negative cheering.
• Acts as a staff member in charge when the Soccer Director is not present.
• Ensure that sports facilities are clean and ready before and after programs.
• Attend departmental and program meetings and events.
• Ensure all programs are safe and maintain the highest safety standards at all times.
• Models relationship-building skills in all interactions.
• Other duties deemed appropriate by the Soccer Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must have an in-depth understanding of soccer, the rules of the game, and interest in working with youth and adult soccer leagues.
• Must have achieved a high level of play as a player, coach or referee at the youth or adult level.
• Ability to work with peers, encourage and motivate youth, and maintain a safe environment.
• Multi-lingual is desired but not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
