XLA is looking for a Jr Financial Accountant to support a federal agency in Arlington, VA
Requires knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices as well as particular principles relating to government contract accounting practices and regulations. Requires ability to read and interpret
written information and effectively communicate verbally and in writing where information includes precise information and terminology.
Functional Responsibilities
In direct support of senior accountants’ performance measure development efforts, provides data compilation and analysis through the use of standard accounting software applications, banking
applications, and spreadsheets. Prepares accurate journal entries to clear reconciling items, follow up on researched items, maintenance of statistical
information on accounts and communicating critical issues to management for resolution.
Minimum Experience/Education/Certification
Entry level position requiring 0-3 years’ experience. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
