As part of this expansion in the US, XNRGY is seeking a qualified and experienced on-site Quality Inspector to join the team. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this position will be responsible for optimizing the manufacturing process at the Mesa XNRGY production site, with a strong focus on product quality. As part of your role, you will be responsible for meticulously examining and testing components and finished units throughout the production process to ensure they meet established quality standards, specifications, and industry regulations, using various measuring tools and testing equipment, to identify and report any defects or non-compliance issues, ultimately guaranteeing the delivery of high-quality products to customers.
An overview of your responsibilities:
- Performing thorough visual checks on all components, including sheet metal parts, coils, blower motors, and assemblies, to identify any visible defects like dents, scratches, misalignments, or improper welding.
- Using precision measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify that all components meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
- Checking incoming raw materials and components against purchase orders and specifications to verify quality before production.
- Documenting inspection findings, including detailed reports on defects, non-conforming items, and corrective actions taken, using quality management systems.
- Ensuring adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality policies.
- Providing feedback to production personnel on quality concerns and working to resolve issues promptly
What you'll need, among other things!
- Strong understanding of quality inspection in manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of schematics preferred.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Excellent visual acuity and ability to identify even minor defects.
- Familiarity with industry quality standards and regulations.
- Ability to interpret data and identify trends to inform quality improvement initiatives.
- Clear and accurate record-keeping of inspection results
- Effective communication with production personnel, quality management, and other stakeholders.
