As part of this expansion in the US, XNRGY is seeking a qualified and experienced Receiving Clerk to join its team. Reporting to the Materials Supervisor, the Receiving Clerk will be responsible for efficiently receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments. This role ensures that all incoming materials are accurately documented, properly stored, and made available for production in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and a basic components.
Responsibilities
- Receive Incoming Shipments: Unload, inspect, and verify the contents of shipments to ensure accuracy against purchase orders.
- Inspection: Check for damaged items, discrepancies, or other issues, and report findings to the supervisor or purchasing team.
- Documentation: Accurately record all received items in the inventory management system, ensuring proper labeling and tagging of materials.
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to transport items within the facility.
- Storage Organization: Store materials in designated locations, ensuring efficient space utilization and easy access for production needs.
- Inventory Management: Assist in cycle counting and physical inventory activities to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Communication: Coordinate with the purchasing, production, and quality assurance teams to resolve any discrepancies with shipments.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and ensure the workspace is clean and organized, complying with OSHA and company regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and suggest opportunities for process improvements in the receiving and inventory control processes.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or HVAC-related industry.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (EPICOR is a plus).
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems or manufacturing processes is a plus.
