Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement data platform and pipelines that leverage cloud infrastructure to solve complex business problems.
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and patterns.
- Optimize and maintain data model and databases, focusing on performance and data retrieval efficiency.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in data normalization, enrichment, and augmentation, and incorporate these innovations into our products and solutions.
- Ensure the quality and reliability of data platform through rigorous testing and validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and objectives.
- Promote and champion a robust engineering culture that emphasizes quality, innovation, and accountability. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior backend engineers.
- Document and communicate research findings, methodologies, and results to internal and external stakeholders.
- 7 years of backend engineer experience using Python and Typescript.
- 5 years of experience in design data platform and developing data pipelines using Python and AWS or equivalent cloud services.
- 5 years of experience with event-driven architecture, including the use of queues, streams, and publish-subscribe model.
- Proficient in big data processing frameworks like Hadoop and Spark, capable of handling both structured and unstructured data at scale.
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and data analysis methods.
- Passionate about building data products, ability to learn new domains and business models.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to work on complex problems and deliver innovative solutions.
