Job Description:
Futurewei has an opening for Visual Computing R&D engineering. Candidate will be responsible for
- Conduct R&D in the areas of spatial computing, computer vision, graphic rendering, avatar animation, AI/ML modeling, and/or other technical areas related to graphic animation and Metaverse.
- Focused innovative research for journal and conference publication, and patents.
- Open source implementation of demo prototype, and core algorithms.
- Work on developing new imaging dataset of human faces and expressions.
- Industrial and academic collaboration, and professional community involvement.
Requirements:
- PhD & MS in Computer Science, EE, or related fields.
- Proven strong background in academic research and publication
- Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: C/C , Python
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in AI/ML, computer graphic, computer vision, or other visual computing algorithms is a strong plus.
- Industrial experience a plus, particularly the experience with OpenCV, OpenGL, or WebGL.
- Strong mathematical skill, problem-solving and analytical mindset.
- Eagerness and quickness to learn new technologies
- Software development in related fields with hands-on experiences is desired.
