Warehouse Specialist

Experience: Candidate shall possess a minimum four (4) years of logistical experience, with at least two (2) years in a Navy or Marine Corps environment.
Requirements: Must possess an Active Secret Clearance.
Additional Qualifications:
Candidate must pass a periodic physical examination as specified by NAVMED P-117 published by the BUMED and Surgery.
Candidate must provide a verifiable and valid MHE license and medical certificate. Each MHE operator must possess a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate or proof of a current medical examination document on their license. Additionally this document must be carried on their person during working hours for inspection purposes.
Job Description:
Performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Work involves the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials IAW prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. Shall be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis.
Candidate is responsible for handling and managing Navy & Marine Corps Depot Level Repairable (DLR) components. This role involves operating forklifts, performing data entry, verifying materials, and ensuring compliance with shipping and packaging standards. The position requires good working knowledge of governing supply systems, documents and technical manuals.
Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited to:
- Material Handling: Receive, identify, and update Navy & Marine Corps DLR components using technical knowledge and governing supply systems.
- Forklift Operation: Operate forklifts for loading/unloading materials, perform minor maintenance, and handle items up to 40 pounds.
- Compliance Management: Reject non-compliant items, including non-ATAC DLR and uncertified HAZMAT items. Certify hazardous materials as required.
- Data Entry: Accurately record receipt and shipping data in designated databases, both manually and with automated scanning devices. Enter material receipt data within 24 hours of physical receipt.
- Material Verification: Physically verify materials, cross-reference identification markings, and generate shipping documentation to determine material disposition.
- Packaging and Crating: Perform packaging and woodworking duties according to NAVSUP Packaging Instructions and maintain Wood Packaging Material (WPM) qualifications.
- Barcode Labeling: Create barcode labels using a PC/barcode printer.
- Container Refurbishment: Clean and refurbish DLR containers, maintaining proficiency with ERP, and managing inventory records. Process an average of 25 DLR components daily with minimal errors, monitored through the Electronic Retrograde Management System (ERMS) and internal Quality Control (QC) reports.
- Inventory Management: Conduct quarterly and yearly inventories, ensuring 100% accuracy and compliance with CRRC Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries, discrepancies, and reports related to DLRs.
- Process Adherence: Complete routine and expedited material processes within specified timeframes.
- Training and Database Access: Complete required training to maintain access to essential database systems.
