Senior Engineering Manager (Frontend / Fullstack)

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager (Frontend / Fullstack) to lead and scale our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for people management, team development, and driving execution while fostering a high-performance engineering culture. You will play a pivotal role in aligning global and local teams, ensuring seamless delivery, and championing collaboration, transparency, and agility.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in React, GraphQL, React Native, TypeScript, and Python , with experience building scalable, high-performance systems . You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop user-facing applications and backend services, ensuring a seamless experience for our customers.

Requirements

Execution & Delivery

• Full Stack Development : Lead the development of frontend features, ensuring high performance and seamless user experience. Contribute to backend development when needed.
• API Integration : Develop and manage RESTful & GraphQL APIs to enable smooth communication between frontend and backend services.
• Frontend Architecture & Design : Build, test, and maintain scalable frontend applications using React, Node.js, and modern frameworks.
• End-to-End Ownership : Ensure the team delivers on commitments aligned with product and engineering roadmaps.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with Product, QA, and Support teams (US & UY-based) to align on priorities, scope, and feasibility.
• Drive Agile Best Practices : Ensure efficient workflows in a distributed, fast-paced startup environment .

Qualifications

5 years of experience in engineering leadership or managerial roles.

5 years of hands-on experience with React, Node.js, TypeScript, and Python .

5 years of experience in designing and developing API-driven backend systems .

Experience with AWS Serverless technologies and GraphQL is a plus.

Proficiency in relational & non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, DynamoDB) and data modeling.

Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles .

Passion for building data-driven products and learning new business domains.

Excellent problem-solving & analytical skills , with a track record of delivering innovative solutions.

Experience in early-stage startups and ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.

Strong communication & collaboration skills to work across teams and geographies.
