Position Summary:
Xplicit Technologies, LLC is hiring a reliable and experienced Part-Time Janitor to maintain cleanliness and sanitation at the NOAA Weather Forecast Office in Juneau, Alaska. This is a low-hour, high-impact role ideal for someone looking for supplemental evening work. Duties are performed after 5:00 PM on weekdays and must be completed efficiently within the allotted time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean offices, restrooms, hallways, kitchen, and lobby areas
- Empty trash cans and replace liners
- Restock restroom and kitchen supplies
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and spot-clean floors and carpets
- Operate cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners, carpet shampooers, and floor scrubbers
- Wash windows, clean glass entryways, and sanitize high-touch surfaces
- Use eco-friendly cleaning products and maintain compliance with safety standards
- Report facility issues or unusual conditions to site management
- Maintain janitorial supply closet in a neat and safe condition
Requirements:
- Previous janitorial experience required
- Must be able to operate vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, and floor scrubbers
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and professionalism
- Must pass a background check and follow building security policies
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Must pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation
- Background check will be initiated through the e-QIP system by the Department of Commerce
Work Schedule:
- Weekdays (Monday through Friday), evenings after 5:00 PM
- No more than 10 hours per week
- No work on federal holidays
