Job Overview:
Xplicit Technologies, LLC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to perform janitorial services at the MOF Cheat-Potomac Ranger District. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across multiple facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all staff and visitors. This role requires adherence to high cleaning standards, the use of bio-based products, and the ability to work independently outside regular office hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform weekly cleaning of restrooms, including disinfecting toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures.
- Replenish restroom supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap.
- Sweep and mop tile floors; vacuum carpets and conduct spot cleaning as needed.
- Empty all trash receptacles and transport waste to the designated dumpster.
- Clean kitchen appliances, countertops, tables, and sinks.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces, including telephones and office equipment, bi-weekly.
- Dust furniture, computer screens, printers, and conference room areas bi-weekly.
- Sweep porches and entranceways, remove spider webs, and clean door glass weekly.
- Perform interior and exterior window cleaning during spring and fall.
- Conduct an annual deep carpet cleaning during the summer.
- Maintain a weekly cleaning checklist and communicate with the Contractor’s Representative to ensure quality standards are met.
Qualifications:
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Familiarity with the use of bio-preferred cleaning products is a plus.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Capability to perform repetitive tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
