Summary/Objective: 
The Cloud Architect will lead the ongoing evolution and optimization of our existing cloud environment. This role demands a deep understanding of cloud platforms, infrastructure, and services, with a focus on translating evolving business needs into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions. The Cloud Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure our cloud infrastructure remains aligned with strategic goals. Must be fluent in AWS cloud infrastructure, multiple cloud technologies is a plus.

Pay Range: $155,000 - $175,000

Responsibilities:

• Cloud Strategy and Optimization:
  • Develop and maintain the organization's cloud strategy and roadmap.
  • Design and architect cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Analyze existing cloud architectures and identify areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate and integrate new cloud services and technologies into the existing environment.
  • Create detailed architecture diagrams and documentation.
• Cloud Environment Management: 
  • Lead the ongoing management and refinement of our existing cloud infrastructure and applications.
  • Ensure cloud solutions are continuously optimized for scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure management and optimization using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Oversee cloud environment updates and migrations with minimal disruption.
  • Design and implement site reliability, high availability, and disaster recovery
  • Oversee cloud migrations.
• Cloud Optimization and Management:
  • Monitor cloud performance and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Implement cost optimization strategies.
  • Manage cloud security and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams.
  • Communicate cloud concepts and best practices to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship.
• Security and Compliance:
  • Ensure cloud solutions adhere to industry best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Implement security controls and monitoring.
  • Participate in security audits and risk assessments.
• Staying Current:
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging cloud technologies and trends.
  • Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or experience.
• 8 years of technology experience
• 3 years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation.   
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies.
• Experience with one or more major cloud platforms, AWS is required (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of networking, security, and virtualization.
• Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect).   
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.  

Salary : $155,000 - $175,000
