Job Summary:

We are seeking an Instructional Designer to create, maintain, and evaluate innovative training solutions tailored to the needs of our boutique fitness franchise network. The Instructional Designer role is critical to ensuring that franchisees, studio managers, and frontline employees receive effective, engaging, and scalable training that drives operational excellence, brand consistency, and profitability. An ideal candidate blends experience, enthusiasm, creativity and the ability to work collaboratively to create learner-focused content that aligns with organizational goals. This role is based in the Xponential Fitness Headquarters located in Irvine, California.

Responsibilities:

  • Instructional Design and Content Creation 
  •  Design and develop various instructional materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training (ILT), video content, job aids, and reference materials that accelerate operational readiness and align with brand standards. 
  • Utilize a variety of instructional design models, theories, and adult learning frameworks to create engaging, practical, and actionable training resources for diverse learner audiences.
  • Support the design and implementation of certification programs and digital credentials for role-specific competencies.
  • Consult with internal teams on best practices for training design and delivery.

Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with Curriculum Managers, SMEs and cross-functional teams to create training that supports key metrics such as Average Unit Volume (AUV), member acquisition, retention, and operational efficiency.

Learning Technology Optimization: 

  • Leverage learning technology capabilities, such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), AI content creation tools and mobile platforms to deliver training in online and blended learning environments. 

Continuous Improvement: 

  • Build assessments, feedback mechanisms, and reporting tools to measure the effectiveness and impact of net new training initiatives. 
  • Conduct needs analyses and apply data-driven approaches to enhance existing training programs.
  • Stay current on trends in fitness, franchising, and learning technologies to deliver innovative and effective training solutions. 

Project Management: 

  • Manage end-to-end project timelines and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and deadlines.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technology, or a related field.  
  • Certification in Instructional Design or eLearning development.
  • Other accomplishments that demonstrate a dedication to learning. 

Experience:

  • 3 years of experience in instructional design, training development, or a related field. 
  • Preferred: Experience in franchise or multi-location business or the health and wellness industry is desirable. 

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Evolve, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), video editing software, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Preferred: Familiarity with AI driven content creation and e-learning technologies.

Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of instructional design frameworks (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), adult learning theories, and evaluation methodologies. 
  • Preferred: Familiarity with franchise business models and operations. 

Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and an ability to manage multiple projects
  • An eye for creating engaging, visually appealing content that can be adapted for various audiences. 

Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
