We are currently looking for a Full Time, Hourly Blue Light Machine Operator (Rotary Cast Manufacturing Technician) at our Arden, NC Facility on the following shift:
2nd Shift
Mon-Thurs 4PM to 6AM

As a Blue Light Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process by operating and maintaining blue light rotary casting equipment. You will be responsible for producing precise and durable flexographic sleeves, adhering to strict quality standards and meeting production targets. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
What you can expect as a Machine Operator:
Safety and training are of the highest importance to us. Your first 5-6 weeks of work will be training with an experienced operator, taking care to learn the processes and how to operate safely as well as efficiently.
Once trained, the Manufacturing Technician is responsible for high levels of accuracy, following detailed flow sheet instructions. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Set up, calibrate, and operate blue light rotary casting equipment according to established procedures and specifications
- Prepare and load machine following flow sheet specifications for ordered sleeve
- Monitor the process, adjusting parameters as necessary to achieve optimal sleeve quality and thickness
- Perform routine maintenance on the equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to ensure uninterrupted production
- Conduct Quality Control checks throughout the process, identifying and addressing any defects or deviations from specifications’
- Record production data, including quantities produced, material usage, and any issues encountered in accordance with company procedures
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain efficient workflow and resolve production-related challenges
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Other duties as assigned

All hourly employees receive pay on a weekly basis, as well as 60-minutes of paid break time per 10-hour shift scheduled.

Minimum Qualifications include:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience operating Blue Light equipment strongly perferred
- Proficient in using SAP for order management and financial transactions.
- Knowledge of flexographic sleeve manufacturing processes
- Basic to Intermediate mechanical maintenance knowledge for the purposes of conducting preventive and routine maintenance of the equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently produce high-quality work
- Proficiency in reading technical specifications and flow sheets
- Basic computing skills
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to upholding safety standards
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and maneuver heavy objects (up to 50 lbs on your own, up to 200 lbs with team and/or mechanical assistance)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop for long periods of time
