Job Summary
The Xtensys Community Connect Program Manager manages our Epic EHR system’s overall community connect program offering to our customers. The Community Connect program manager understands the technology and business landscape in regard to our customers and aligns systems and services to attract and retain these key customers/relationships. This manager provides support and guidance to analysts as they manage the implementation and ongoing services offered to our customers in partnership with other leaders. The program manager collaborates with other Xtensys leaders to establish and provide for consistent and standardized deployments and service offerings to maximize operational efficiencies and value.

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring all community connects projects and practice initiatives are managed to established milestones, within budget, and have outstanding outcomes, partnering with key stakeholders and his/her leader to overcome any roadblocks to meet the needs of the business. This will include the effective and efficient management of analysts, consultants, and third-party vendor services where applicable. The program manager will be responsible for managing and giving updates on key initiatives, areas of concern, and general awareness and direction of the Community Connect program throughout Xtensys. As well as participating in governance and other IS and business leadership forums to provide program updates, advocate for new customers, and relay information requested.
Functions as a leader within the Application division and a key point of contact for all levels of staff. Collaborates with other leaders throughout Xtensys to provide a unified, high-quality, service-oriented program. Aligns resources to ensure Xtensys and its customers’ vision and business strategies will be met, integrating operational and organization processes, applications, and technologies. Will be highly engaged in partnership with the VP of Applications with customers, providing them with an understanding of Xtensys’s Community Connect roadmap, awareness of future updates, and ensuring adoption and training plans are implemented for a seamless transition to new versions and features of the Community Connect system and services.
- Participates as a key member of the Application Division’s management team in governance processes of the Xtensys Community Connect program offering
- Collaborates with appropriate resources, facilities, physician leadership, and best practice teams to develop and maintain the Community Connect offering to align with customers’ and Xtensys’ organizational needs.
- Will ensure the community connect systems and services are implemented, maintained, and advanced to provide a high degree of customer satisfaction, measured through customer feedback and regular surveys.
- Will partner closely with the technology division and other Xtensys departments to ensure connect customer’s SLAs are being met.
- Will work closely with Xtensys leadership to provide project management support for site adds, moves, and changes within the connect model.
- Will work closely with Xtensys leaders, including physician leaders, to ensure a consistent approach to community connect offerings aligning with Xtensys’s approved business practices.
- Conducts ongoing research and maintains current knowledge of healthcare IT industry trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new software solutions (including Epic’s Community Connect program) or business processes that should be considered for the Community Connect program.
- Supports the VP of Applications in delivering the community connect vision and ongoing project/system implementation via regular written and inperson communications.
- Documents, communicates, and enforces policies for standardizing system in partnership with other Xtensys leaders
- Supervises, educates, and trains staff related to the community connect program.
- Responsible for the overall development, implementation and oversight of the community connect program policies and procedures
- Manages vendor relationships, contracts, and affiliate (connect site) relationships.
- Undertakes adhoc assignments as required to react quickly and positively to new or emergent situations
- Complies with all IS Policies, Procedures and Standards including: Project Management tools/methodologies, Network/Systems/Workstation Security, HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations associated with Electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI)
Skills & Qualifications
- 10 or more years of experience in healthcare application or operational experience
- Five or more years in a IT management position with responsibility for Community Connect strongly preferred
- Certification in Epic modules supporting Population Health, Community Connect, Affiliate Support, Data Integration, and/or Data Exchange strongly preferred
- Experience with multiple software applications, systems analysis/design, Integration/design, or web applications/design
- Must have issue tracking and resolution skills
- Must be able to prioritize, organize, and assess work in order to meet aggressive deadlines and to cope in a fastpaced environment
- Experience developing and giving highquality presentations for project work
- Capable of working well in a diverse, multidisciplinary team and successfully interacting with others at all levels of the organization, including remote teams
- Solid skills in documenting and analyzing business processes
- Proven skills in problemsolving
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, and effective presentation skills
- Ability to plan and facilitate meetings with diverse participants
- Ability to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor in both normal and pressure situations
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant certification in healthcare, business management or information systems is required
