What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at Xtreme Care?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The receptionist is responsible for answering the phones and serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notifies company personnel of calls, messages, and visitor arrival.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Responsible for managing all aspects of the receptionist desk.
- Greetings and welcome vendors, guests, and staff as soon as they arrive at the office
- Direct visitors to the proper person and office
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable
- Provide basic and correct information in-person and via phone
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access
- Perform duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing
- Performs other duties as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be personable, friendly, and professional
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to carry, lift, push or pull at least 20lbs
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- One year experience as a receptionist Or
- One year's experience in an administrative position
- Computer savvy
