Role Summary:
At Xurrent, we are looking to hire our first Senior Accountant to help build a world-class finance & accounting team! As the second US accounting hire, this will be a pivotal role that will help the company scale efficiently and set the company's finance department up for long-term success. This hybrid role will based out of our East Austin office location.
Responsibilities: Day in the life. What will this person be doing in their role?
- General Ledger: Maintain accurate general ledgers by posting journal entries, and ensuring transactions are properly recorded. Be a key-player in transitioning GL activities in-house.
- Month-End and Year-End: Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring that financial reports are prepared accurately and on time.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform or assist teams with various reconciliations which may include ASC 606 revenue, bank accounts, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, pre-paids and other financial data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Review & Audits: Assist with monthly flux analysis, support the year-end audit and tax processes, providing essential data and documentation as required.
- Ad-Hoc: Support the Controller and CFO with special projects as needed.
- Innovate: Lead and participate in implementation projects, driving efficient and scalable accounting solutions.
Requirements:
- BS/BBA in Accounting/Finance related field, CPA or working towards one is preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience (preferably in a startup environment).
- Hands-on and detail-oriented with a strong understanding of GAAP principles.
- Experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.
- International accounting/multi-entity experience is a plus.
- Self-starter, open to navigating through ambiguous environments.
- Hybrid work schedule based out of our Austin office.
