This role will be responsible for driving strategic manufacturing projects to advance industry 4.0 maturity, supporting the development and growth of the local manufacturing engineering teams and working with the sites to enhance and standardize manufacturing processes that support the company’s overall success.Core ResponsibilitiesLead, coach and coordinate the activities of Manufacturing Engineering local and Manufacturing Excellence regional teamDevelop a strategic vision utilizing advanced technologies to optimize and enhance efficiency, productivity, and sustainability of manufacturing processes.Managing Industry 4.0 Deployment and Conversion Costs Optimization effortsProvides support on the implementation of new technology in manufacturing, methods, materials, and advance systems used to make the company's productsSupport the Global Industry 4.0 implementation roadmapEnsure all project needs are being met to achieve goals in the original set time frame. This includes, but is not limited to, securing additional resources, setting daily or weekly priorities for project team members, communicating to all cross-functional stakeholders, and working with the more challenging situations or people.Support Operations global software implementation programs as neededOffer technical guidance on complex process control challenges and lead in developing optimal solutions.Coordinate best practice sharing across the team to accelerate learning and adaptation of best practices.Drive meaningful standardization across the manufacturing facilities and manufacturing engineering teams.Work with leadership and site teams to fund and staff programsGuide Plant leadership teams to improve plant performance and optimize cash flow to support business growth by applying Manufacturing Excellence MethodologiesCoordinate with PM and Engineering team on new products development and the manufacturing requirements.Drive projects related to 80 / 20 initiative related to Manufacturing Operations.Education and / or Experience4-year college degree with a major in a degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.10 years’ manufacturing systems experience.Experience in Automation Engineering and / or Systems Engineering preferred.Program / project management experience requiredWorking knowledge and demonstrated application of Lean Manufacturing methodologies.Ability and willingness for national and international travel up to 50%. Other Skills and AbilitiesLeadershipAbility to coach key skills including, but not limited to : project management, Root Cause Analysis techniques, Manufacturing Guidelines and Standards, Process Control, etc.Ability to effectively manage project development and engineering teams to complete projects on time and within budget.Ability to lead and function collaboratively in a team environment, while effectively communicating across various levels of the organization.The position requires strong collaborative, communication and change management skills.Business PartnershipWork with businesses and leaders across the organization to proactively identify, prioritize, facilitate and lead management improvement initiatives.Develop a close cooperation and full alignment with ISC team and Corporate / ISC initiatives and prioritiesBehavioral CompetenciesOperates with integrity, transparency and humility.Acts as a true company owner to advance the overall interests of Xylem.Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations.Balances clear strategic thinking and accountability in execution to deliver results.Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range#LI-NH1Salary range : $118,500.00 - $213,500.00Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
