Job Summary:
The Product Portfolio Manager is responsible for technical leadership, process expertise and on-going support to ensure that product management processes and activities meet standards. This role involves coordinating portfolio with Commercial Product Management, Commercial teams, Quality/Operations Teams as well as Service teams. Lead Product Engineering and regulatory/market alignment. The Product Portfolio Manager works closely with cross-functional teams to address product issues, perform competitive analysis, and implement corrective actions. Additionally, this role involves training and mentoring product support staff and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop product strategy and planning aligned with division and corporate goals
  • Lead and manage product initiatives
  • Lead engineering and process for portfolio
  • Lead component selection and product costing
  • Lead sustaining engineering, MFG and QA requirements
  • Align feature set and capabilities with Market, Commercial team and Service Team requirements
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and maintain product requirements and support
  • Owner of product deliverables (specifications, drawings, BOM's, costing, controls, manuals, support documents)
  • Technical leader and support with customers and channel partners
  • Customer, technical support, and field analysis periodically required
Product Expertise and Focus:
  • Process water applications in Pharmaceutical, Microelectronic, General industry (Market expertise preferred but not required)
  • Market and application expertise preferred but not required
  • Mechanical, Electrical and Process engineering leadership
  • Controls and instrumentation knowledge beneficial, but not necessary
  • Wastewater experience beneficial, but not necessary
Product Development and Launch:
  • New technology development support
  • Oversee product development process from concept to launch
  • Define product features and specifications
  • Coordinate with engineering, design, and marketing teams to ensure timely delivery
  • Conduct product testing and gather feedback for continuous improvement

  • Equally comfortable as team leader, team member and support roles
Travel Requirements:
  • 20 to 25% travel required (MFG facilities, Customer sites, Vender sites, and other corporate offices)
  • Varies with projects
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, or related field with at least 5 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
  • Strong technical skills with proficiency in product management tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Aha!).
  • Knowledge of market research and competitive analysis techniques.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously..
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders.

Salary range:
$93,900.00 - $169,000.00
