Top Required Skills & Years of Experience:
- 5 years' experience as the lead architect in modernization or re-write from a legacy system to a modern replacement, including modernization of technology, as well as working with a cross-functional team to redesign and simplify UX and workflows to meet modern application design standards, using a material design library and component framework, such as MudBlazor
- 2 years' experience as a .NET expert, with extensive experience using ASP.NET Core v6-8
- 2 years' experience in Azure SQL cloud database solution
- 2 years' experience with GitHub distributed version control and using GitHub actions to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment
- Experience using Oracle database technology, Control-M batch jobs
- Experience using Linq or Entity Framework
- Previous experience providing this service for government is a plus, and experience with DWD's environments will be especially valuable
Project details: This is a technical leadership position needed to drive the development and support of the IRIS 2.0 modernization project, a full replacement of the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation's case management system. Successful candidates will have demonstrated success in designing, creating, and maintaining web services, system integrations, web development, and highly complex online transaction processing (OLTP).
Additional details:
- DWD is currently allowing remote work for this position from the greater Madison area, including local, surrounding communities. The contractor will be required to be available online, be present to meet all workload requirements, and must be available to attend all scheduled meetings during DWD standard working hours of 7:45 am - 4:30 pm Central Time. The selected contractor MUST be available to work onsite at DWD's Madison, WI headquarters GEF-1 location at DWD's request, including consecutive weekdays or extended periods, without reimbursement for travel, lodging, or parking expenses. DWD can make changes or modifications to this arrangement with a reasonable advance notice.
