Job Description:
The Construction Production Manager will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves managing crews, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, maintaining a high level of quality throughout the construction process, providing timely support to the sales team, managing materials inventory, and ensuring smooth communication within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to all job sites throughout the RGV to monitor set up, cleanliness, materials, organization, construction, and our entire process.
- Manage and supervise construction production teams to ensure efficient and timely project completion.
- Plan, organize, and schedule construction projects, including material and labor management.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations on all job sites.
- Monitor project progress and resolve any issues that may arise to prevent delays.
- Maintain quality control by overseeing the work of crews and subcontractors.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and suppliers to ensure project specifications are met.
- Review and manage budgets, cost estimates, and project timelines.
- Provide regular project updates to upper management and clients.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving production efficiency.
- Provide sales representatives with trade estimates and material costs in an expedited manner to assist them in creating accurate and timely sales estimates.
- Order and keep track of materials inventory, ensuring that the right materials are available when needed and managing stock levels to avoid shortages or excess.
- Produce and disseminate work orders to all members of the team, ensuring clear communication of tasks and project requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to set up ladders safely and climb up to heights of two stories or more as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, including materials and equipment as needed on job sites.
- Comfort working at heights and in various weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience at the production level in the construction industry.
- Proven experience as a Construction Production Manager or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials, installation methods, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (required).
- OSHA certification and knowledge of industry standards (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
