Brief Description:
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Bookkeeper duties include working closely with our Accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure compliance with legal requirements, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments. Our company has quadrupled its size in the past year, and we are stabilizing our systems and streamlining the process to manage the finances efficiently. This position will require a self-driven and experienced individual who will be committed to the company’s growth and be part of our success. This may require working on reconciling historical accounts and being a team player on various projects. Occasionally needed to be available for urgent transactions, and keep a close contact with the Operations Team.
Ultimately, the bookkeeper’s responsibility is to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions for our company.
Required Skills:
Proven bookkeeping experience
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
Proficiency in English and MS Office/G Suite Products
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
A high degree of accuracy and attention to data
Job Responsibilities:
Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger
Bring the books to the trial balance stage
Perform timely payments such as bills, utilities, supplier payments, and credit card payments
Maintain records and payments of all legal entities, pay timely fees and licenses, and keep all entities in compliance with the governing authorities
Complete tax forms and anything that might be asked by the CPA
Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements
Process accounts receivable/payable and handles payroll promptly
Full access with RentRedi or a similar property management software and reconcile daily with Quickbooks or a similar accounting software
Ability to adapt quickly to new technology or platform, and be able to retain training and add a new system to the daily\weekly routine
Account status update daily by 9:00 am
Inputting data into QuickBooks
Account reconciliation- 4-5 entities
Catch up on previous months and assemble paperwork to file
Additional Requirements:
a FL valid Driver’s License
Ability to carry over 15lbs
