Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 2am to 10:30am
Position Summary Description:
Assists the Oahu Warehouse Manager by carrying out necessary duties to oversee and support the Operations departments at all Oahu warehouse locations. Responsible for understanding all aspects of the Operations departments and working with the managers to ensure work is completed timely, safely, and to the satisfaction of customers. Responsible for acting as the Oahu Warehouse Manager when the Oahu Warehouse Manager is not present or not available.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for overall warehouse operations for Sand Island and Koapaka facilities, including day and night related operational aspects.
Along with the Oahu Warehouse Manager, create development plans with specific benchmark goals for warehouse managers.
Responsible for supporting all Warehouse Managers to drive Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Annual Initiative Plan (AIP) success.
Provide support to all warehouse managers to achieve their personnel and retention related goals. This includes, but is not limited to regular 1 on 1 reviews, interacting with staff level ‘Ohana to get a better understanding of the company culture, developing long-term employee engagement strategies, etc.
Collaborate with hiring managers within the Operation to improve hiring practices and efficiencies.
Works with Warehouse Managers to help assess performance with Success Factors and assist with creation and delivery of growth and development plans for key employees.
Responsible for the coordination of group training programs on all Warehouse operations systems based on standard operating procedures.
Conducts follow up studies of all employees who have completed training sessions, to evaluate and measure results and check for comprehension and retention.
Manages and inspects physical conditions of facility and equipment used in all operations and maintenance.
Prepares work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
Establish operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with other functions such as Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service, and Inventory Control.
Directs salvage of damaged or used material.
Ensures safe operational practices, procedures, and policies are followed by Operations personnel.
Performs similar and related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Uses the Company’s Mission/Vision Statements and Core Values as their guiding principles.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or
Three or more years of distribution or warehouse experience, including three years in a supervisory capacity. Foodservice experience highly preferred.
