What You'll Do
The CNS Information Release Analyst position will handle the processing of site scientific and technical information (STI) according to DOE O 241.1C, the DOE Public Access Plan, and reporting requirements to the DOE Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI). STI includes journal articles/accepted manuscripts, formal reports, datasets, conference material, software, final CRADA and PDRD reports, etc. and includes all levels of classification. The position will work with the site's STI manager and other organizations to appropriately capture and submit STI, continually raise awareness of reporting obligations, and collaborate with others in the DOE complex involved in the STI Program (STIP). Also work with OSTI to identify and resolve Y-12 publications that OSTI has hidden from their public database (osti.gov) due to metadata errors or issues. Also assist OSTI and DOE Information Center (DOEIC) with submitting legacy documents for Information Release Office (IRO) reviews for public release or updated access limitations.
The position will also support other office tasks within IRO and the Export Compliance Office, including information release reviews, various export compliance reviews, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, Privacy Act requests, and DOE Sick Worker Program tasks.
This position requires the ability to complete complex reviews, effectively collaborate across organizations, and make decisions under severe time constraints, supporting challenging schedules/deadlines. The candidate must also be able to appropriately set priorities to accomplish multiple tasks within deadlines, have excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrate organizational skils and strong attention to detail, and have a strong customer service focus including interpersonal skills.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- OR Master's degree: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- OR PhD
Preferred Job Requirements
- Prior interaction with and knowledge of the DOE, NNSA, or other federal agencies, and the management and operating contractor system.
- DOE Q clearance.
- Be able to adhere to DOE directives/standards and training requirements, accomplish different tasks in succession, and work in Excel and other computer programs.
- Y-12 Site knowledge
- Document management skills
- Familiarity with federal public access mandates (e.g., Scientific and Technical Information, FOIA/PA, etc.)
- Knowledge of software applications and technologies used in a technologically sophisticated office.
- Ability to travel as needed.
