Reports to: Sanitation Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Safe, efficient, and effective cleaning of production equipment, processing rooms and adjacent areas.
- Perform swabbing (ATP, Environmental) of equipment and areas in support of site sanitation and other assigned programs.
- Follow good manufacturing practices (GMPs) to ensure food safety, work safety, and food defense.
- Follow the approved sanitary methods in accordance with food safety requirements.
- Ensure safety precautions are followed in performing your responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English specific to work instructions including but not limited to safety purposes.
- Regularly time and attendance
- Experience in food manufacturing within a GMP environment
- Knowledge of sanitation practices for industrial cleaning chemicals and food safety related practices
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force at times and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Ability to work in cold and hot environments (approximately 38F-80F degrees)
- Ability to repeat motions that may include use of the wrists, hands and/or fingers, and standing or sitting for prolonged periods (average 8-12 hours)
