Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant/Business Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care, assisting with various dental procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. As a Business assistant you will be responsible for all aspects of scheduling and financials related to patient billing, insurance, and accounts receivables.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Perform medical imaging tasks, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, utilizing medical coding when necessary.
- Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Utilize dental software for patient management and record keeping as needed.
- Demonstrate aseptic technique during all clinical procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent. Dental Assistant certification preferred, but will train the right individual.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is an advantage but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in healthcare.
