Yahoo is seeking an experienced and highly skilled principal product designer on the Commerce team to lead the design of all search-related commerce initiatives. As the Principal Product Designer, you will envision the future of shopping on Yahoo search and bring that vision to life. You will use shopper insights and strategic thinking to tackle complex opportunities and transform them into intuitive, accessible, easy-to-use, brand-forward designs for millions. You will collaborate with Designers, Researchers, Engineers, Product Managers, Business Owners, and Content Strategists to drive thought leadership and product evolution behind some of the most important and exciting initiatives on the Commerce team.

Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and vertical teams across Yahoo, including designers, product managers, engineers, UX researchers, data scientists, content strategists, brand and marketing to help craft the long-term vision and strategy.
- Lead stakeholder discussions, presentations, design reviews, workshops, and other rituals to drive alignment and influence.
- Lead end-to-end ideation, prototyping, and validation.
- Partner with the design systems team to define cohesive and scalable experiences.
- Build a strong working relationship between the Commerce design team and the Search design team to ensure a consistent user experience across search.
- Set the bar high by knowing what quality looks like and how to help product, engineering, and other partner teams ship at that quality with minimal impact on velocity.
- Champion user-centric design principles and methodologies to ensure designs are grounded in data and user insights.
- Be the voice for our users and champion solving user problems.
- Partner closely with your product and engineering leads to drive innovation and push the boundaries of what's possible.
- Strong storytelling skills to drive alignment and influence.
- Own project priorities and squad roadmap.
- Mentor, guide and influence other designers on the Commerce team.
