If you are interested in joining a world-class team of passionate people and industry veterans who care about code quality, architecture, design and user experience as much as having fun together, then we'd like to talk to you.Responsibilities : Responsible for the definition, design, development and timely completion of major new features in current and future productsPerforming code reviews for your peers where you will be learning from and contributing to a collaborative working modelTackling hard engineering and user experience problems and solving them in an elegant and seamless manner.Taking ownership of features and areas of the mobile application that will impact millions of users.Working with engineering team members to explore and create interesting solutions while sharing knowledge amongst the team.Collaborating with user experience designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver new features, enhancements, platform improvements and bug fixesCollaborate with other engineers to write testable, reliable code, continuously deploying to production systemsGrowing in a culture of learning through design discussions and code reviewsOwn, deploy, monitor and operate large scale production systems distributed across the globe.Recommend alternative approaches to solving complex problems and use new technology to achieve goalsQualifications : BS in Computer Science (or equivalent) with 8 year's experienceStrong OO programming experience : Kotlin, Java, C or similarStrong foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software designDeep technical knowledge of Android mobile application development with a solid understanding of the framework components and their life cycles.Expert in software development domain and principles, including design patterns, code structure, programming languages, continuous integration, and deployment architectureExperience with mobile test driven development using Espresso, Roboelectric, Appium or similar technologiesExcellent communication skills, both written and oralPreferred Qualifications : Experience in leading app user growth initiativesExperience with AI, ML and GenAIShipped an app to the Google Play storeExperience developing Mobile applications frameworks and / or SDK solutions for Identity, Payments, AnalyticsExperience with Web Technologies (NodeJs, JSON, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3)Experience with SCRUM or similar agile development methodologyThe material job duties and responsibilities of this role include those listed above as well as adhering to Yahoo policies; exercising sound judgment; working effectively, safely and inclusively with others; exhibiting trustworthiness and meeting expectations; and safeguarding business operations and brand integrity.At Yahoo, we offer flexible hybrid work options that our employees love! The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
