Key / Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Collaborates with Regional Director to support overall direction and day-to-day oversight of assigned region / setting's program operations, ensuring consistency in application of policies, practices and procedures and creating a structure of consistent and transparent communication with the staff, which supports diversity and inclusion.
- Promotes agency mission and goals by providing leadership and guidance to staff and ensuring safe, appropriate, therapeutically documented supervision and habilitative services across assigned region / setting for the people we support in line with agency philosophy, department practices and Federal, State, Local and regulatory requirements to promote quality care and positive outcomes.
- Supports the strategy / vision of the agency and CEO by modeling the philosophy of person-centered thinking and delivering exceptional service and a culture of cooperation and collaboration within their region / setting and monitors to ensure staff incorporate into their daily work.
- Regularly evaluates and monitors regional / program needs, identifying unmet needs and collaborating with applicable program leaders and / or with Regional Director to develop solutions and implement revisions to correct issues or deficiencies to ensure needs are met.
- Supports Regional Director with development and management of regional / program budgets, monitoring programs to ensure they are operating within budgetary guidelines, providing oversight of all financial systems related to the people we support and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of billing, as applicable, to support financial and program performance objectives.
- Ensures recruitment and retention of diverse, highly qualified program leaders and staff; manages and develops talent, effectively utilizing resources in order to meet program requirements; participates in assessment of future staffing and workforce development needs across the region / setting with a focus on succession planning.
- Develops mastery of YAI's electronic systems including Digital Agency (DA), eMAR, Workday, etc. and champions efforts to increase successful use of these systems by staff across the region / setting through training and development, ensuring an understanding of the importance of appropriate, accurate and timely documentation, billing, and notes and the implications of incomplete, inaccurate or untimely submissions.
- Ensures that all physical facilities across assigned region are in operational order and regularly assesses maintenance, upkeep and safety concerns across sites, collaborating with maintenance and other support departments to facilitate regular upkeep and / or resolutions to concerns; coordinates with Regional Director and applicable support departments to support initiatives, such as opening, closing or relocating facilities.
- Participates in the development and implementation of operating procedures and systems to support continuity of care and quality service provision across assigned region / setting in collaboration with Regional Director.
- In collaboration with Regional Director, supports Compliance and Quality efforts by assisting with establishment of measures and controls to ensure compliance, ethical and quality standards and to manage and mitigate risk; participates in reviews and / or audits to ensure compliant and safe operations, implementing corrective actions, as needed.
- Assists with monthly, quarterly and annual compliance audits and surveys and ensures appropriate documentation and reporting of errors, incidents and corrective actions across the region / setting, assisting with the investigative process, as applicable.
- Stays abreast of applicable Federal, State, Local, regulatory and agency regulations, maintaining awareness of changes and remains current with trends in the I / DD field; participates in agency or trade organization committees and other related committees, conferences and / or seminars.
- Develops an understanding of current and future trends, issues and initiatives relevant to the field through regular collaboration with Regional Director.
- Represents the organization by taking an active role in the region / setting's local meetings and events and participates in events with external entities such as trade organizations, conferences, etc.
- Develops professional, empathetic relationships with families, service providers, and / or community members and advocates for persons with disabilities to local government and community and fostering of interagency collaboration and communication between relevant supports and program staff.
- Assists Regional Director in the implementation of services, ensuring smooth transitions to new business models, specifically managed care and person-centered care and support; may participate in the identification and development of new services or programs.
- Complies with and ensures that staff complies with all Federal, State, Local and other relevant regulatory agency requirements, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and ensures cooperation with appropriate entities in any inspection, inquiry or investigation.
- Performs all duties of program managers in assigned region / setting, providing coverage and / or direct supervision to program teams on- or off-site in the absence of staff (Program Director, Program Supervisor, etc.), as needed or requested.
- Performs all other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualification Requirements including education, experience, licensure / certification, etc. and essential physical capabilities (e.g. lifting, assisting lifting, standing, etc.)

Compensation $100,000 - $107,000 annually
