Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10 years of experience in supply chain planning, S&OP, or operations leadership roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.
- Experience implementing and managing enterprise S&OP processes and tools.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaboration across business functions.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Preferred APICS or similar certification (CPIM, CSCP).
- Preferred Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
- Preferred Experience working in a global or multi-site manufacturing environment.
- Preferred Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced planning tools.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) to lead and oversee the end-to-end SIOP process. This leadership role will be responsible for aligning global sales, demand planning, production, inventory, and supply chain strategies to drive operational excellence, optimize capacity, and ensure customer satisfaction across the manufacturing organization. The Director is responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels to balance availability with cost efficiency. By balancing demand with global supply, the Director of SIOP ensures that inventory levels remain optimal—neither too high nor too low.
Job Duties:
- Lead and manage the overall global SIOP process across the company to ensure cross-functional alignment and effective decision-making.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to develop accurate demand and supply forecasts.
- Establish and manage monthly SIOP meetings with executive leadership to review plans, risks, and business assumptions.
- Ensure that inventory levels are optimized, reducing the risk of obsolescence and excess stock.
- Consolidate forecasts that are formally reviewed and analyzed, over time, to enhance the accuracy of demand predictions.
- Balance demand and supply through capacity planning, production planning, and inventory strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy, inventory optimization, service levels, and working capital utilization.
- Develop and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for the SIOP process including forecast accuracy, service levels, and supply-demand alignment.
- Build consensus around forecast assumptions and drive scenario planning for demand/supply risks.
- Implement and optimize SIOP systems, tools, and processes to support data-driven decision-making.
- Act as a strategic partner to executive leadership on capacity expansion, product launches, and global supply planning initiatives.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing SIOP team.
- Maintain a sanitary and safe work environment and follow safety requirements.
- May participate on the company’s Safety Committee.
- Ensure that company safety policies as well as federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations are observed.
- Must have a complete understanding of company’s policies, SOPs, QPs, EPs, HACCP and cGMP that pertain to their department to ensure quality, safety, efficiency and sustainability.
- Must adhere to all company policies.
- Examine documents, materials, and products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications.
- Follow all SOPs in each area.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager and/or designee.
