Position Title: Case ManagerLocation: Yakima County District CourtPay Range: $26.90- $34.11 per hour (Non-Bargaining Pay Plan, B24 Step 1-13)Hiring Range: $26.90 - $28.55 per hour (Non-Bargaining Pay Plan, B24 Step 1-4 DOQ)Closing Date: January 27, 2025Position OverviewYakima County District Court is seeking a Case Manager to join our team. This position plays a vital role in supporting Level III offenders during the final phases of their supervision and ensuring compliance with court-sanctioned agreements. The Case Manager also manages and evaluates programs such as defensive driving, cost recovery, and life skills, while supporting probation counselors in case planning and monitoring compliance.Key Responsibilities: Monitor offender progress and compliance with court-ordered conditions.Conduct initial self-assessments to determine client needs and risks.Record and manage client information in the case management system.Assign Probation Counselors based on workload and expertise.Direct clients to appropriate treatment resources.Serve as an instructor for departmental classes and fulfill additional responsibilities as needed.Minimum Qualifications: Education & ExperienceAssociate degree or two-year technical certificate in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field AND three (3) years of specialized clerical, administrative, or technical training beyond high school OR a combination of education and experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties of the job.Requirements: Valid Washington State Driver’s License and proof of insurance, if requested.Successful completion of a criminal background investigation and general employment verification.Completion of Bloodborne Pathogen Training and Ohio Risk Assessment System (ORAS) certification upon employment.Preferred Skills: Bilingual in Spanish (highly desirable).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to probation and community supervision.Experience maintaining and updating websites.Why Join Us?This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in our community by assisting individuals in meeting court-ordered obligations and accessing resources for personal growth.
