Location: Yakima County Assigned CounselPay Range: $31.62 - $40.10 per hour (Non-Bargaining Pay Plan, C41 Step 1-13)Hiring Range: $31.62 - $33.56 per hour (Non-Bargaining Pay Plan, C41 Step 1-4 DOQClosing Date: February 20, 2025Yakima County’s Department of Assigned Counsel is seeking a qualified Legal Investigator to join our team. This position plays a vital role in the criminal justice system by conducting investigations in criminal cases to prepare for trial or other resolutions. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct investigations for criminal cases assigned to the Department of Assigned Counsel.- Collect, analyze, and organize evidence to support the defense team’s case preparation.- Interview witnesses, clients, and other involved parties.- Prepare detailed written reports and findings.- Testify in court as needed.- Collaborate with attorneys to develop case strategies.
