Position Title: Manager I (DUI Supervision Unit Manager)
Location: Yakima County District Court
Pay Range: $37.38 - $47.40 per hour (Non-Bargaining Pay Plan, C44 Step 1-13)
Hiring Range: $37.38 - $39.66 per hour (Non-Bargaining Pay Plan, C44 Step 1-4 DOQ)

Yakima County District Court is seeking a DUI Supervision Unit Manager to oversee the supervision of high-risk DUI offenders. This critical leadership position involves coordinating, implementing, and monitoring interventions that promote client success through treatment programs, support services, and compliance with ignition interlock, licensing, and financial responsibility requirements. The role requires a collaborative leader with strong communication skills to achieve client outcomes while ensuring public safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee community supervision programs for high-risk DUI offenders.
- Coordinate interventions, support services, and treatment plans tailored to individual clients.
- Monitor compliance with ignition interlock, licensing, and financial responsibility mandates.
- Assess program effectiveness and track client progress.
- Provide regular reports and updates to stakeholders and policymakers.
- Foster strong relationships with community resources and justice partners.
- Lead and supervise a team, ensuring alignment with program goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or a closely related field.
- Four (4) years of experience as a Probation Officer or equivalent, including:
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Two (2) years of program management experience, which may overlap with the probation officer experience.
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job successfully.
Requirements:
- Valid Washington State driver’s license and proof of insurance, if requested.
- Successful completion of a criminal background investigation and general employment verification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
- Completion of the Misdemeanant Probation Academy.
- Completion of the Washington State Training Academy for Probation Officers.
