The Yakima County Treasurer's Office is seeking a Manager II to join our team. This position is essential to the financial operations of the Treasurer's Office, contributing to the revenue and debt management of County departments, agencies, and districts. As Manager II, you will oversee professional level accounting activities, including cash and investment management, financial systems development, and staff supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, evaluate, and develop financial systems.
- Analyze revenues, expenditures, and cash flow.
- Manage investments and debt service activities.
- Supervise accounting staff and oversee financial operations of Treasurer's Office programs.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of professional level accounting experience, including two (2) years in a supervisory role; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel/spreadsheet programs.
- Auditing experience.
- Successful completion of a criminal and financial background check and general employment verification
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
