Position Summary:
Performs and supervises all permitting and planning-related activities for the Agency including reviewing and approving/denying various permits, managing the annual emissions inventory, calling/terminating burn curtailments, and managing Agency regulation and regional SIP provisions, and is a key position in executing the mission of the Agency. Regularly interacts with department, compliance, and other staff. This is a supervisory and working position.
Key Duties:
· Review annual source registration filings and emissions information.
· Conduct new source reviews—including impact analyses, toxic/hazardous pollutant
emissions calculations, and risk assessments.
· Review and approve/deny agricultural, conditional, and other burning permits.
· Prepare annual emissions inventory and manage data reporting via WEIRS.
· Utilize various modeling and emission estimation systems.
· Provide technical assistance to industry and the regulated community.
· Review process design plans/specifications for technical merit and environmental impact.
· Collaborate with peer regulatory agencies and other political subdivisions.
· Review excess emissions reporting and make determinations regarding unavoidable emissions.
· Assist in developing and implementing emission reduction strategies and attainment and maintenance plans, as needed.
· Monitor meteorological and air quality conditions and call or terminate burn curtailments.
· Evaluate sources and emissions units for compliance with the emission standards.
· Assist with determining changes to Agency fees.
· Review, and propose updates to, Agency regulations.
· Participate in public hearings and provide technical information to the public, industry, and/or the Agency board, as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $82,500.00 - $110,000.00 per year
