Position Highlights:
$16.97-$20.79 DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates

Work Schedule: This position requires rotating shifts of Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm and Monday- Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
What You’ll Do:
Package prescriptions to send to the pharmacies verifying correct medication, paperwork, and patient counseling instructions are provided.
Maintain awareness of stock level and enter orders for restocking based on defined minimum inventory levels. Verifies quantity and submits an order to the Wholesaler.
Verify product orders received with invoice and purchase order. Place a sticker on each item and place it on the shelf.
Monitor and check expiration dates on drugs in stock.
Return or discard dispensed prescriptions to stock if a pharmacy returns them.
Answer the phone, answer non-professional level inquiries, and transfer calls to appropriate staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Pharmacy Assistant state registration within 60 days of employment
Effective verbal and listening communication skills with a customer-oriented approach
Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing, faxing, scanning, and copying
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Ability to organize work while performing multiple tasks requiring attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with discretion
Basic proficiency with a variety of computer systems, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, Pharmacy Management software, automated filling software, and/or Patient Communications Systems
