Position Highlights :
- 20.81-$25.50 / hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates
What You'll Do :
Update patient medical records, conduct X-ray procedures, including panoramic images and intraoral photographsRecord periodontal charting and prepare instruments and equipment for Provider examsMix exam materials with awareness of infection control, perform preventative care like fluoride treatmentsMonitor nitrous oxide analgesia under Provider supervision (Only in Washington)Educate patients on oral hygiene in clinic and school-based programsAssist in patient infection control program, sterilize instruments / equipmentMay assist in Orthodontics including; obtaining patient records, bite registrations, patient models, fabricating orthodontic retainers, and placing / removing ligature tiesMay perform Lead duties by maintaining the daily flow of the department and acting as a liaison between line staff and the direct supervisor. Manage breaks, lunches, sick calls, and overtime. Provide insights to leaders regarding the skill level and performance of the employees. Responsible for providing training to new employees and existing staff when needed.Qualifications :
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)BLS certification within 90 daysDental Assistant Registration or EFDA certificationBilingual (English / Spanish) required at level 10Basic knowledge of medical / dental terminology, dental anatomy, dental materials / instruments, infection control techniques, and oral health care instructionAbility to perform four-handed dental assisting, including instrument transfer, oral evacuation, cement mixing, and spatulationStrong level of manual dexterity and coordination.
