Yakima County, Washington's fruit basket, is a hub of agricultural abundance, renowned for its hops, apples, grapes, cherries, and asparagus exports. The area hosts a myriad of breweries, wineries, and cider houses, supporting various industries and farm-to-table initiatives. It sustains the livelihoods of migrant workers, warehouse staff, and food transportation sectors. Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic ensures community health through accessible healthcare services and education initiatives.

Position Highlights:

• Work 20 to 40 hours/week, with a flexible work schedule of 10-hour or 8-hour shifts
• $45.96 - $56.73/hour DOE
• Additional pay for your bilingual skills
• Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus based on number of hours worked - bonus is paid in your first paycheck
• Additional pay for your bilingual skills

As a Dental Hygienist, your tasks will include:

• Updating patient records, conducting X-ray procedures, charting, and preparing exam tools
• Providing periodontal care and preventive treatment, performing dental restorative procedures, performing expanded functions, and administering anesthesia
• Educating patients on oral hygiene, assisting in infection control, and participating in dental education program development along with other assigned tasks
  
  

Qualifications:

• Graduation from a Dental Hygiene school
• Active WA state Dental Hygiene license
• CPR certification
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred (level 10 to receive bilingual differential pay)
• Knowledge of standard dental practices and current hygiene concepts.
• Skilled in dental anesthesia and restorative procedures
• Ability to interact professionally with patients and colleagues of all ages
• Effective time management and resource utilization to efficiently complete work within set deadlines
• High level of dexterity and coordination
• Basic proficiency with Electronic Dental Records, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
