About the Role

Job Summary
The Mental Health Therapist will work closely with our healthcare professionals to provide therapy, supportive counseling, and education to individuals. The successful candidate will have experience treating children or adolescents and be able to handle complex treatment plans. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are strongly preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide therapy and supportive counseling to assigned individuals.
- Apply various therapeutic models as appropriate, including behavior modification and cognitive behavioral therapy.
- Complete encounters and documentation according to YVFWC requirements.
- Enter all documentation into the electronic health record (EHR).
- Respond to crisis situations and provide care as needed.
- Work with individuals to transition back into their community after psychiatric hospitalizations.
- Assist patients and families in obtaining additional services and resources.
Requirements
- A Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
- Two years of post-graduate experience in direct mental health treatment, including one year of experience treating children under the supervision of a specialist.
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) certification.
