The Yale Council on Middle East Studies accepts applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate in Palestinian Studies.
The Post-Doctoral Associate (PDA) will teach one course during the year, either in the Fall or the Spring semester, pursue their own research, and participate in the activities of the Council on Middle East Studies. Post-Doctoral Associates are expected to be in residence from August 2025 to May 2026.
The salary for this position is commensurate with experience and complies with the Yale Office of Postdoctoral Affairs compensation policy and includes a benefits package.
Qualifications
Applicants in all fields of humanities, social and political sciences, who have recently received their PhDs or are in the early stages of their academic career, may apply. The PDA should have a research emphasis on the history, society, politics, language, culture, and/or other dimensions of Palestinian Studies and the broader study of the Middle East. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research focuses on the early modern or modern period.
Requirements include a viable research project, teaching an undergraduate seminar in the field of specialization, and residence in New Haven.
