Seeking Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for the Hospitalist MICU Service at
Yale-New Haven Hospital/ North East Medical Group
The Hospitalist Service at Yale-New Haven Hospital seeks highly motivated Physician Assistants/ Nurse Practitioners to work in the YNHH bi-campus Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). The APP serves as an integral part of the medical team working collaboratively with Yale Medicine Pulmonary and Critical Care faculty, Intensivists, fellows, APP colleagues, and other highly skilled members of the healthcare team.
The role includes providing care on APP continuity team with formal presentations, formulation and implementation of management plan for a panel of critically ill patients, perform admissions, ordering and interpretation of diagnostic tests, daily progress notes, performing procedures, triage role, family meetings, and education and training of APP students and orientees. The APP uses their critical care knowledge to provide direct care for the complex critically ill patients in our active MICUs at York Street Campus (40 beds) and St Raphael Campus (20 beds). Yale New Haven Hospital is a major teaching hospital affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine.
Schedule
Full time (40 hours)
12- 13 hour shifts with 9 shifts every 3 weeks.
Rotating weekends and holidays are required.

Qualifications
Licensure: APRN or PA licensure
Experience: Previous inpatient or critical care experience is preferred however there is an extensive orientation period offered to those new to critical care.
