Job Summary:
As a skilled Cardiac Catheterization Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality diagnostic scans while providing exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include patient education, technical expertise in CT scanning, and effective communication with team members to facilitate patient flow and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of radiologic procedures at a technical level, assuming responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
- Maintain IV start proficiency per Radiology Nurse guidelines, provide physical assistance to patients on and off scanner tables, and facilitate patient flow.
- Consistently produce diagnostic quality radiographs by using proper technical factors and patient positioning, accurately film patient exams, and maintain good communication among team members and other departments.
- Safely operate all equipment according to manufacturer's specifications and under safe radiation guidelines, follow all procedures on safe patient interactions and body mechanics, and adhere to all safety procedures in the handling of hazardous materials and blood-borne pathogens.
