Cardiac Catheterization Technologist at Yale New Haven Health
The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist plays a vital role in performing radiologic procedures with a focus on CT scanning and patient care.
Main Responsibilities:
- Performing CT scans with technical expertise to acquire high-quality diagnostic images.
- Maintaining patient safety and ensuring smooth patient flow in a clinical setting.
- Providing physical assistance to patients on and off the scanner table.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical expertise in acquiring highest quality diagnostic scans, including adjusting technical factors for body habits, patient age, and weight.
- Able to consistently produce diagnostic quality radiographs using proper technical factors and patient positioning.
- Familiarity with exam charging, patient insurance, and maintenance of day log, PACS, and teleradiology solutions.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- ARRT registered and Computed Tomography (CT) certified.
Working Environment:
This role requires working in a fast-paced clinical environment with exposure to interventional procedures, body fluids, radiation, and processing chemicals.
